Faculty of Electronics is founded in 2003 after the division of Physical Faculty.
Dean of the faculty is the Sci.D., Professor Igor I. Polovinko (since 2003). Faculty unites the
departments of electronics, nonlinear optics, radioelectronic materials science,
radiophysics, physics of semiconductors, physical and biomedical electronics.
Faculty prepares specialists on specialities: radiophysics and electronics, applied physics,
physical and biomedical electronics, information technologies of planning.
Specializations: radioecology, optoelectronical informatics, semiconductor electronics,
biomedical electronics, radioelectronic materials science, radiophysical methods and systems,
optoelectronical and radioecological methods and systems, medical sensorics, computers
technologies in physics.
The following main educational and research laboratories work on the faculty: solid state
electronics, quantum electronics, optoelectronics, nuclear practical work and dosimetry,
radioelectronics, microprocessor technique, computer information technologies, biomedical
electronics, computing, gamma-spectroscopy, sensorics, optoelectronical materials,
radioelectronic devices.
Research workers and teachers of the faculty co-operate with universities of Vienna, Wroclaw,
Lyon, Gdansk, Moscow; carry out research in the laboratories of Germany, France, Netherlands,
Great Britain, Poland and Russia.
